I am happy and eager to start working in the 82nd Iowa General Assembly.  I want to thank my supporters for re-electing me for a second term to the Iowa House of Representatives in District 69, which covers the northern half of Polk County, including Alleman, Elkhart, Grimes, Johnston, Polk City and portions of Ankeny and northern Des Moines.

In my first term, I served as the Vice-Chair of the State Government Committee.  Additionally, I served on the Commerce, Regulation and Labor Committee, the Education Committee, the Health and Human Resources Committee and Ways and Means.

I look forward to building upon my experience and will continue to work with and for the people of District 69 and the state as a whole.  I feel very strongly that we accomplish more through honest bi-partisanship and compromise in our efforts to face the key issues affecting Iowa.
